Pacific Grove improves to 5-1 in the MTAL and 7-1 overall with a 5-1 victory over Marina on Tuesday afternoon [03-22-16]
The Breakers have got off to a hot start this season, scoring at least 5 runs in six of their eight games. The only two games in which they scored less was a 2-1 victory over King City and a 3-7 loss to King City.
With the game scoreless through four innings, the Breakers scored 5 runs in the final three innings for the victory.
MTAL Pitcher of the Year Nic Boatman threw 3 scoreless innings, allowing 1 hit, and striking out 6 for Pacific Grove. Kacee Takasaki though, picked up his second victory of the season for the Breakers, giving up 1 hit, 1 run, and striking out 3.
Noah Ryan and Trevor Heyn both had RBI’s, while Colton Moore scored 2 runs for the Breakers.
