• Baseball: Breakers Prevail over Sacred Heart Cathedral in CCS First Round

    Pacific Grove advances after a 4-2 victory on the road against Sacred Heart Cathedral on Wednesday night.

    Last season’s MTAL Pitcher of the Year, Nic Boatman, got the start for the #11 seeded Breakers. Boatman went 6.2 innings, while only giving up 3 hits and 2 earned runs.

    Kacee Takasaki led the Breakers at the plate, going 3 for 4, with 2 RBI’s and 1 run scored. Dylan Dutcher scored 2 runs, and also picked up the save, getting the last out of the game.

    The Breakers (18-8-1), will now travel to Fremont High School to play #3 Seed Menlo (21-7) on Saturday, May 21, 2016. First pitch will be at 2:00 p.m.
