Pacific Grove lost in their first game back from traveling down south to Trinity Christian 5-4 on Tuesday afternoon [04-05-16]
The Breakers got off to a great start, by scoring 4 runs in the first two innings. Christopher Wright though, turned things around for Trinity and would shut down the Breakers the rest of the game. Overall, Wright struck out 6 Breakers and gave up 7 hits in a complete game victory.
Nic Boatman, last seasons’ MTAL Pitcher of the Year, had a rough outing for the Breakers. Boatman gave up 6 hits and 5 earned runs through 5 innings of work. Boatman however, did strike out 8.
Pacific Grove (9-4-1, 6-1) will look to rebound on Friday, April 8, 2016, when they will play at Trinity (3-7, 0-5). First pitch at 4:00 p.m.
