Pacific Grove closed out the regular season with the type of victory that helps put the stamp on a great season. The Breakers routed Marina for their tenth straight victory on Thursday night, 53-13. [02-19-15]
Again the Breakers had twelve different players score in their victory. However, the player of the game was Brad Sendell, who scored 18 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and even notched 5 steals.
The Breakers had their best defensive game of the season. They only gave up 13 points, their lowest point total of the season. At halftime, the Breakers led 26-4, and 45-7 after three quarters of play.
Sendell, only a sophomore, has a great chance to win MVP of the MTAL this season. He has led his team to a 13-1 league record and an MTAL title. He is also second in scoring, third in 3-point shooting, third in free-throws, and second in assists for the MTAL season.
Pacific Grove (18-5, 13-1) will now wait to hear what seed they will get this weekend. With the way that the Breakers closed out the regular season, it is very likely that they will end up with one of the top seeds.
