• CHP on the Concours Traffic

    In preparation for the upcoming car week the California Highway Patrol will be out in full force to ensure that motorist obey traffic laws in Monterey County and assist with traffic congestion in the area. In addition, the CHP will be provided traffic control for participants and travelers to ensure a smooth a successful event. Motorists should expect delays throughout the week on State Route-68 as well as State Route-1 and provide for extra travel time to and from the event.

    Highway signs will be activated on SR-68 as well as US-101 to advise motorists of the heavy traffic. It is anticipated that thousands of cars and spectators will be on hand throughout the week, impacting State Route 1, State Route 68 and Carmel Valley Road.

    Travelers to the area can anticipate delays through the area of SR-1 and SR-68 on Thursday, August 14, from 8am-12pm as the Pebble Beach Rally goes through the area. CHP services for the event will be provided through a reimbursable service agreement through the various organizers of this event.
