    ART FOCUS with Dante Rondo–New Pacific Grove Art Center class begins JULY 20!

    Painting and Mixed Media
    10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. July 20-24 Ages 11-17
    Cost: $170 / PGAC members $185 non-members
    We will work with drawing and painting media in this class: Graphite, Charcoal, Colored Pencils, Ink, Pastels, Watercolor and Acrylics. Open workshop where students choose their personal subject matter. From nature, realism, people, faces, animals, still life, abstraction and imagination. Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced levels.
    Water Based Painting Workshop
    10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. July 27-31 Ages 10-16
    Cost: $170 / PGAC members $185 non-members
    This class focuses on techniques and applications of watercolor and acrylics. Washes, glazing, brushwork and color mixing, value scale/contrast. Individual expression encouraged. Subject matter: nature, still life, animals, landscape, people, abstraction and imagination. Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced levels.
    Summers End Hands On Art!
    2-5 p.m. August 3-7 Ages 9- 15
    Cost: $180.00 PGAC members / $200 non-members
    Take all your school break summer inspiration from travel or staying home and create some stylish art work! Students will work in their choice of media, painting and drawing in graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastels, watercolor and acrylic paints. Subject matter is chosen from photographs, still life, nature, prior sketches, imagination and each student’s personal creativity. Open workshop with emphases on technique and expression. Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced levels

    This is the Heal the Bay Beach Report Card for Monterey Peninsula beaches, which reports water quality grades, or when relevant, weather advisories. An A to F grade is assigned based on the health risks of swimming or surfing at that location. Look at the "dry" grade for all days except those "wet" days during and within 3 days after a rainstorm.
