• Congress Ave. Pedestrian Walkway Update 7/5/19

Per the City: Congress Avenue Road Rehabilitation Progress Update.  This week crews have made tremendous progress on the meandering AC pedestrian pathway portion of the Congress Avenue Road Rehabilitation Project. Nearly half of the pathway header boards, which serve as the border for the path, have been installed.  Once header board installation is complete, crews will lay base rock followed by AC to complete the path.

Crews have also progressed on the stormwater improvement portions of the project. A 24”, 100’ long stormwater pipe, crossing Congress at David Avenue, three access covers, and two drain inlets have been installed.

This is the Heal the Bay Beach Report Card for Monterey Peninsula beaches, which reports water quality grades, or when relevant, weather advisories. An A to F grade is assigned based on the health risks of swimming or surfing at that location. Look at the "dry" grade for all days except those "wet" days during and within 3 days after a rainstorm. Click here for more information on the Beach Report Card. Click the name of the beach when it pops up for more details, or choose a beach below.
