• Cross Country: Breakers win Boys, Girls Varsity over Carmel

    Pacific Grove High School traveled to Carmel Middle School for a dual meet with Carmel High School. The Breakers won both the boys and girls divisions for the second week in a row to remain perfect in MTAL competition. Both boys and girls races were highly competitive and very close. Pacific Grove also won the boys junior varsity race. Neither Carmel or Pacific Grove had complete teams in the girls junior varsity division.
    Varsity scores here: xc carmel dual 2016Anna Stefanou won her second consecutive MTAL race to remain perfect on the season in an outstanding time of 19:32 for the 3 mile course. Pascale Montgomery of Carmel was second in 19:33 and Christina Hashimoto of Pacific Grove was 3rd (19:35) in a very close hard fought race. Pacific Grove edged Carmel by a score of 26 to 29.

    The boys race was won by Henry Loh of Pacific Grove in a very good time of 15:56 followed closely by Carmel’s Emerson Hardy. Jake Alt and Everett Millette of Pacific Grove finished 3rd and 4th respectively. Pacific Grove beat Carmel by a score of 25 to 31.
    Next up for Pacific Grove will be a dual meet in Greenfield next Thursday.
    Junior varsity individual results will follow when available.
