A reader sent this 2/18/16:
The scam artists are back and the IRS has a new number (or two). I received a call from 213-141-5163 (“Name Not Found” of course) with a recorded message saying This is Officer from the Internal Revenue Services! We have been trying to reach you. This call is an official final notice call from the Internal Revenue Services. The reason of the call is to inform you that we have filed a law suit against you. For more information, call immediately our department # 914-499-8220…I repeat, 9144998220.”
I thought this crap was long gone, but they are back.
