If you’re not going to the Watch Party at the Masonic Lodge tomortow night with the rest of us, you may be planning to watch the local election all by your self. The November 8th Presidential General Election night results are semifinal official results until final official results can be released. Legal mandates provide for a 28 day canvass period in which to certify the election.
The election night reports will be released on the following schedule:
First report available shortly after 8:00 p.m.
The first report will include vote by mail ballots received until Saturday, Nov. 5.
Second report available shortly after 9:00 p.m.
The second report is a cumulative report and includes the first report and polling place precincts. Please note that when the report indicates 100% of precincts reporting, that means that each precinct has had ballots (vote by mail or polling place) tabulated.
Subsequent hourly reports will be issued until 12 a.m., and every two hours after 12 a.m.
All subsequent reports are cumulative and will include additional polling place precinct ballots.
Additional reports include vote by mail ballots that were received by mail or at the polls on Election Day in addition to those postmarked vote by mail ballots that are received during the three business days after the election.
Results and updates will be posted to www.MontereyCountyElections.us.Hard copies are available at the Elections office.
