HEADS UP: Repaving on Sunset/68 from Asilomar-Forest Weekdays

Construction crews will be paving along a one-mile section of Highway 68 (Holman Highway), including ramps, between the Asilomar State Park Entrance/Sinex Avenue and Forest Drive in Pacific Grove, starting Tuesday, May 31. Details are as follows:

Hwy. 68 from Asilomar State Park Entrance to Forest Drive.

Roadwork will consist of reversing one-way traffic control from 9 am to 4 pm Mondays through Thursdays along this one-mile section.

Hwy. 68 from Asilomar State Park Entrance to Sunset Drive.

FULL closures may take place between 9 AM – 3 PM Mondays through Thursdays and 9 AM – 1 PM on Friday along this ¼-mile section. A DETOUR WILL BE PROVIDED.

Motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes. Electronic message signs will be posted alerting motorists of the work.

The roadwork consists of placing cold plane mix asphalt overlay on the roadbed and complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on the ramps. Roadwork should be completed by the end of August.
