The write-in candidate filing period for the November 6, Statewide General Election ends on Tuesday, October 23 at 5:00 PM. To qualify, candidates must meet the requirements of office and file nomination forms. Write in candidates for city offices will file with the appropriate city clerk. All other write-in candidates will file at the Monterey County Elections Office located at 1441 Schilling Place – North Building, Salinas, CA 93901. There are no filing fees or candidate statements and the write-in candidate’s name will not appear on the ballot.
