• Lauren Coppla does it all

Lauren Coppla knocked in a home run to start the 3/15/18 girls softball game against Stevenson, which ended with a score of 11-1 in five innings. That was feat enough, but after the game was over, she rode to the Pacific Grove High School track, changing into her track clothes in the car, and ran the third leg f the girls 4×400 meter relay race which the team won.Lauren also runs the 100, 200, and 4×100 relay, but because of the softball game, didn’t run those events this week.
No one has ever done this at PG High, and her coaches (softball, Sal Lucido and track, Steve Watkins) were amazed,
Beginning the season, Lauren might have had to make a choice between the two sports, but her coaches agreed that she could take part in both as long as softball came first. Lauren will go to softball every time, then to track as she can. The two sports follow the same season so there will likely be a lot of conflicts.

Oh, and she carries a 3.5 GPA at the same time.
