Major actions taken by the Council at its regular meeting on Month 16, 2016 include:
Certificate of Recognition presented to The Bridge Restoration Ministry for honoring their commitment to improve the lives of men and women and for their service to the City.
Service award presented to Linda Pagnella for 15 years of service to the City of Pacific Grove.
Held second reading and adopted an ordinance to amend the current lease with Pacific Grove Golf, LLC an affiliate of CourseCo.
Authorized the City Manager to award the designation as 2017-2018 Official Newspaper to the Monterey Herald, Monterey County Weekly and Cedar Street Times.
Appointed Amy Christey, Police Chief, as City Manager pro tempore, effective November 16, 2016.
Received minutes the Golf Links Advisory Commission and Historic Resources Committee.
Introduced and held first reading of an ordinance to amend Chamber 2.30 of the PGMC regarding City campaign finance regulations.
Approved a resolution of intent to amend the City’s CalPERS contract to provide the GC Section 20516 employee sharing additional cost and introduced and held first reading of an ordinance to amend the CalPERS contract to provide Section 20516 employee sharing additional cost.
Introduced and held first reading of an ordinance to amend Chapter 23.74 of PGMC regarding City call up review processes.
Directed staff to develop a public art policy following input from the BNRC and return to Council in the future.
Provide direction to staff regarding the City’s Membership in the Fort Ord Reuse Authority.
Adopted a non-binding resolution of intent affirming the City’s desire to participate in governance and financing discussions for the Monterey Bay Community Power Joint Powers Authority.
Received a Local Economic Advisory Program presentation from CALED.
