mock trial webSeniors Noah Thanos, Arielle Isack, Rachel Biggio, and Wesley Hardin (left to right) accept the second place award at the Monterey County Mock Trial Championships held on Saturday, February 6 at the Monterey County Courthouse. The event is put on by the Lyceum of Monterey County. The Pacific Grove team was poised to make a run at the state championship, but lost that opportunity when a strong team from Carmel edged them out by two points in a championship round where over 500 points were awarded. But Pacific Grove took home its share of individual honors.

Senior Rachel Biggio and sophomore Sarah Bitter earned special recognition for their performances in the competition. Junior Lexi Roher took second place in the Mock Trial Journalism Competition and will be traveling to Sacramento in March to compete at the state championships.
