• Monterey State Historic Parks Assoc. to hold sale

Help “lobby” against park closings and get some real treasures at the same time!

On Saturday, June 13, 10 am – 2 pm, in the garden of the Cooper-Molera Adobe, MSHPA will be sponsoring a Store Surplus and Plant Sale. The popular Cooper Museum Store is undergoing a makeover with the able assistance of our new store manager, Stacey Jacobs, a Pacific Grove resident. Books, toys, cards, gifts will be on sale at bargain prices. There will also be plants on sale from the historic and beloved Cooper Garden. Nowhere else are these heritage plants available. Due to the current situation, we will have a table set up for the public to learn more about the Park and to write postcards to their legislators. Volunteers in historic dress will be available to assist visitors. Joining us with their sale items will be other organizations from the historic downtown district, including The Boston Store, Pickett Fence, Mayo Hayes O’Donnell Library, Royal Presidio Chapel and the City of Monterey. We plan to have music and light refreshments. It should be a fun day with great deals and pleasant surprises for all who drop by.
