• Pacific Grove/Monterey Fire gets grant

The Department of Homeland Security has awarded the Fire Department a “Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response” (SAFER) grant.  This grant provides 100% funding of salary and benefits for six additional Firefighters for two years, which will help the City of Pacific Grove, as well as Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea, significantly reduce Fire Department overtime costs and increase daily staffing in our shared fire protection system.
