• PG Art Center Free Floating Exhibit Finissage

Mullins_AlexandraInBlackwebIn the French tradition of celebrating art and wine at every opportunity, The Pacific Grove Art Center invites the public to a finissage for the “Free Floating” photography exhibit by Paris resident (and former Pagrovian) Meredith Mullins. A finissage toasts the final days of an exhibit. Free Floating closes on August 28.

Join in wine tasting and conversation with the photographer on Sunday, August 24 from 2–4 pm, and spend time with these unique underwater images, already in the collections of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and the Musée d’Art Contemporaine Fernet Branca in Alsace.

Photographer and subjects are defying gravity, suspended in time, in Monterey Peninsula and Paris pools. There are no rules. The viewer decides what’s up, what’s down, what’s underwater, what’s not. What’s reality, what’s reflection.

And don’t forget to look up, at the free floaters in the ceiling installation.

Free for the public. Pacific Grove Art Center. 568 Lighthouse Avenue, Pacific Grove. For more info, call 375-2208
