• Salinas commuters: Culvert replacement on EB Hwy 68 Resumes

An emergency project to replace a culvert on eastbound Highway 68 between Quail Ridge Lane (one mile east of Laguna Seca Race Track)
and Corral de Tierra Road near Monterey will take place Monday, March 6 through Friday morning, March 10 during the overnight hours from 7 pm to 6 am.

Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control with delays not to exceed 20 minutes. Electronic message signs in two locations have been posted, alerting motorists of this emergency roadwork. The CHP will be present to assist with daytime traffic control.

The replacement of this culvert is necessary to maintain the integrity of the highway which could be compromised due to the damaged culvert beneath the pavement.
