• Sewer Work Downtown Pacific Grove This Week — Heads Up!

    The City of Pacific Grove and the contractor, Monterey Peninsula Engineering, will perform critical sewer main line repairs downtown. This portion of the project will be conducted on Congress Avenue, between Laurel and Lighthouse, along Lighthouse between Congress and Park, and then running down Central to Caledonia. Tentatively Congress will be impacted July 27, 28, and 29. Lighthouse will be impacted on the 29 – 31 and lighthouse to Central will be impacted on August 3-5. Businesses and residents that will be affected have been informed. A traffic control plan will be in place and it is anticipated that through traffic will be able to travel thru the work zone, but there may be delays and temporary detours. An A to F grade is assigned based on the health risks of swimming or surfing at that location. Look at the "dry" grade for all days except those "wet" days during and within 3 days after a rainstorm.
