• Sheriff: DOJ Sting Nabs 18 Year-Old + 3 Juveniles at Carmel High School

Over the past year, citizens, parents, and students have reported ongoing sales of illegal narcotics to students on the Campus of Carmel High School. As a result, agents of the DOJ STING Task Force conducted follow up investigation and subsequently authored a state search warrant for three locations, one of which was Carmel High School. One of the suspects is 18 year-old Andrew Tripps.

A butane hash oil lab was found where Andrew Tripps lives at 27 Camp Steffani Road. The homeowner and Tripps’ father, 47-year-old Richard Steven Tripps, was arrested and booked into Monterey Council Jail

This is the Heal the Bay Beach Report Card for Monterey Peninsula beaches, which reports water quality grades, or when relevant, weather advisories. An A to F grade is assigned based on the health risks of swimming or surfing at that location. Look at the "dry" grade for all days except those "wet" days during and within 3 days after a rainstorm. Click here for more information on the Beach Report Card. Click the name of the beach when it pops up for more details, or choose a beach below.
