• Soberness Fire update Mon. 8/8/16

    The Soberness Fire grew overnight and is now 60,400 acres and 45% contained. Backfires will continue as more than 5,000 firefighters are on the line.

    While the number of structures threatened has dropped to 410, still 57 homes and 11 outbuildings have burned.

    Evacuation orders remain for For the residents East of Hwy 1 starting at Coast Rd to Graves Canyon. Palo Colorado. Cachagua Road from Nason Road to Trampa Canyon Rd. This includes all roads that lead from the above described roads including Nason Road.

    Warnings are in place for all residents West of Hwy 1 at Andrew Molera State Park from Coast road to Graves Canyon. Carmel Valley Road from San Clemente Drive to Country Road, Cachagua Road from Carmel Valley Road to Nason Road. Cachagua Road from Trampa Canyon to Tassajara Rd, Tassajara Road from Carmel Valley Road to the Tassajara Hot Springs Zen Center. This area includes all roads that lead from the above described roads. This does not include San Clemente Drive.

    Evacuation orders have been lifted for Weston Ridge Road (aka Garrapatas Road), Garrapatas Trout Farm Road, White Rock, Robinson Canyon Road, South of San Clemente Trail from Robinson Canyon to Rancho San Clemente Gate House, from San Clemente Trail to White Rock Gun Club Santa Lucia Preserve, to include Arroyo Sequoia Road, North of San Clemente Trail/Dormody Road, including Black Mountain Trail, Touche Pass, the community of San Clemente and all of Long Ridge Trail, Riley Ranch Rd and Red Wolf Drive, Corona Rd and all of Carmel Highland.

    The evacuation center is located at All Saints’ Day School, 8060 Carmel Valley Rd, Carmel Ca, 93923

    Apple Pie Ridge Road, Coast Ridge Road, Palo Colorado Road at Hwy 1, Robinson Canyon Road (south of San Clemente Trail), Weston Ridge RD at Hwy 1, Garrapatos Creek Rd at Hwy 1, Old Coast Rd at Hwy 1 to Andrew Molera State Park, Cachagau Rd between Nason Road and Trampa Canyon Road (including Nason Road)
