• TOO LATE FOR PRESS: Holiday bus schedules

Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will provide holiday schedule bus service on Thanksgiving Day, Thurs., Nov. 22. Limited service will be available on the following bus lines:

    Line 1 Monterey
Line 2 Pacific Grove via Forest Hill
    Line 5 Carmel – Monterey
Line 20 Salinas – Monterey via Marina
Line 41 Northridge – Salinas via East Alisal
JAZZ A Aquarium – Sand City via MPC Quad & Hilby
JAZZ B Aquarium – Sand City via Broadway

In order to provide service to the Forest Hill area of Pacific Grove, Line 2 will operate hourly in the outbound direction only. Once the outbound Line 2 Pacific Grove bus completes its route and reaches Lighthouse & Fountain in downtown Pacific Grove, it will change to a Line 1 Monterey bus and head inbound on Lighthouse Avenue to downtown Monterey. On Thanksgiving Day, neither inbound Line 2 Monterey buses nor outbound Line 1 Pacific Grove buses will operate.

Line 55 San Jose Express will operate a Sunday schedule Thanksgiving Day. No other bus lines will be in service Thanksgiving Day. Regular MST bus service will resume on all lines Fri., Nov. 23, with the exception of Line 55 San Jose Express, which will be running on a Sunday schedule and Line 26, which will not be in service. CSUMB Otter Trolley will be not in service the week of Nov. 19-23. CSUMB campus is closed.

Because of unpaid administrative staff furloughs and the Thanksgiving holidays, MST phone lines, customer service locations and administrative offices will be closed for the week of November 19-23, reopening Monday, November 26.

This is the Heal the Bay Beach Report Card for Monterey Peninsula beaches, which reports water quality grades, or when relevant, weather advisories. An A to F grade is assigned based on the health risks of swimming or surfing at that location. Look at the "dry" grade for all days except those "wet" days during and within 3 days after a rainstorm.
