• TOO LATE FOR PRESS: Residential Burglary Interrupted, Suspect Stabbed by Victim

    On July 11, 2013 a approximately 11:32 a.m., officers from the Pacific Grove Police department responded to the 60 block of 17 Mile Drive regarding a reported interrupted residential burglary. The 54-year-old male owner of the house told officers that upon returning home after a short errand, he encountered a male subject inside his house. The owner armed himself with a kitchen knife and a physical altercation occurred between the owner and the subject. During the altercation, the owner stabbed the subject with the knife. The subject fled in a blue sedan driven by a female. The owner of the ouse suffered abrasions to his knees and hands and was rendered first aid by Monterey County fire Department and AMR personnel at the scene.
