• Two having drugs for sale are arrested on school campus

Pacific Grove High School staff called police when they inadvertently found a Mason jar full of marijuana in the wooded area near the high school soccer field.

Believing it likely that the jar was left there for someone to pick up, police were checking the area when they noticed two men diligently searching the same area.

The subjects were detained and identified as 27 year-old Sean Paul Kilpatrick of Pacific Grove and 24 year-old Cory Wayne Peters, also of Pacific Grove.

Kilpatrick was found to be in possession of approximately 50 grams of a substance believed to be “crystal meth” taped to his body. He was also found to have a large amount of cash in his possession.

Kilpatrick was booked on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale and is also being held on a no-bail parole violation charge at Monterey County Jail.

Peters was booked for trespassing on school property.

This is the Heal the Bay Beach Report Card for Monterey Peninsula beaches, which reports water quality grades, or when relevant, weather advisories. An A to F grade is assigned based on the health risks of swimming or surfing at that location. Look at the "dry" grade for all days except those "wet" days during and within 3 days after a rainstorm.
