• Women’s Golf Championship Coming

    CWAC 2016 California Women’s Amateur Championship To be Played July 26 through July 30. The deadline to register for this year’s  Championship is July 1, 2016. The venue will be Quail Lodge for all but the event’s final round which this year is set for Pebble Beach.

    Event Co-Chair Joan Caldwell explained that this year marks the 50th Annual California Women’s Amateur Championship. The event web site explains the eligibility requirements and entry fee. It’s a “Stroke Play” golf event. Play will start with 84 players and contestants must comply with the USGA rules for amateur status.

    They will start on day one with 84 players. Each day that number is reduced by half until there are only two remaining for the final round and last
    day of the event.  It’s a very exciting event and free to the public to watch.

    Many outstanding players from Pacific Grove, Monterey, Pebble Beach and the Carmel area have played this event as well as players world wide and from the USA.
